Here's a great little technique you can use if you a feel a mild stress come over you. It allows you to be in the moment and put a side any worries.
Look around you and focus on an object - say a tree. Look at the bark, it's colour, the texture. Really study the details.
Now quickly look else where. Lets say to a brick wall. Look at the bricks, their colour, texture. Just focus on the bricks.
And just keep going looking at something else in the tiniest of detail for about 30 seconds each.
You'll be amazed how this can distract your mind long enough to overcome that awful feeling of panic.
